BACKGROUND | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The building includes one and two bedroom independent living units that have been carefully designed to provide a variety of exposures, views, and levels of privacy. The units overlooking the central courtyard are provided with large balconies. The units at grade level have patios separated by garden walls, and the remaining units feature large floor to ceiling windows and “French” balconies. All apartments have opening windows and individually controlled heating and air conditioning systems. The 67 one-bedroom accessible units have two distinct designs to provide a choice of room configuration and amenity. The remaining 5 two-bedroom accessible units suit the special conditions of the building form. Within their size limitations, all of the apartments have been designed to maximize the natural light and sense of space for the living enjoyment of the residents. The public components of the residence, including the ground floor laundry and recreation rooms, principal public corridor, and elevator lobbies, focus daily activities around the courtyard taking advantage of its southern exposure and landscaped features. |
