IP-195 is designed and installed for free operation and maintenance. The only occationally reported failure is the malfunctioning of the Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve (T&P valve). When overheated, the T&P valve will open to reliese some hot water so that cold water could come in to cool down the temperature inside the tank. Due to quality of the T&P valve, the valve stem sometimes doesn't go down to close it afterwards. When there's no attendance to the solar hot water system (one day in summer, 3 days in winter), the solar system may be isolated to save water and to protect the T&P valve.
